Our Freeze-Dried Chaga mushroom powder was made from freshly harvested (still frozen on the trees) Chaga over the winter here in New Brunswick, Canada, and the Chaga remains frozen until we process it fresh for the Freeze-dryers, thus retaining a true 97% of the nutrients. It is important to note that we do not use either the Hot Water or Spay Drying methods, both methods require the use of both hot water (110 C) and hot air that exceeds temperatures of 200 Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit to extract the moisture from the hot water solution with forced hot air thus losing anywhere from 30% to 40% of the mushrooms nutrients. Directions: Add 1/2 tsp per cup of freshly boiled water and stir ( there will be some sediment left in the bottom of your cup)
